1. Discounts for companies with help for rentals of commercial premises and mortgage payments
The discounts are designed for beneficiaries of the aid for the rental and mortgage payments of commercial premises approved by the Governmental Decree of 21 October (Decree approving an extraordinary aid programme for the rental and mortgage payments of commercial premises within the context of the health emergency caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus).
These measures will entail automatic discounts from the invoice as indicated below:
- A 100% discount for beneficiaries who have obtained 75% of aid for the rental or mortgage payments of their commercial premises, applicable to all the contracted services except for mobile telephony. This measure will benefit the ring-fenced sectors of nightlife, indoor children’s playgrounds and bars and cafés whose business is exclusively engaged in this activity, in accordance with the decree.
- A 50% discount for beneficiaries who have obtained 50% or 25% of aid for the rental or mortgage payments of their commercial premises, also applicable to all the contracted services except for mobile telephony. This measure will benefit travel agencies operating on a full-time basis and bars and cafés that are not exclusively engaged in this business, in accordance with the decree.
The discounts will be applied backdated from 1 October and will remain in force in November or until a new decree brings this measure to an end.
The application of the discounts will automatically come into effect on the basis of the resolutions on the aid for rental and mortgage payments of the Ministry of the Economy in the bill for next December.
Companies will not have to go through any other application procedure via Andorra Telecom in this regard.
2. Discounts for companies with a temporary layoff scheme or reduced working hours
Companies that have obtained authorisation for the temporary suspension of employment contracts or reduced working hours will also benefit from a 50% discount on their landline telephony services, Internet access and connectivity services.
The discounts will be applied on the basis of the November bill but will automatically come into effect in the December bill without the need for any application to be sent to Andorra Telecom.
These discounts will remain in force until a new decree brings this measure to an end.
