The work begun with special needs groups in terms of communication saw its first fruits in 2016.

In March, the Julià Reig Foundation and Andorra Telecom held a seminar intended for health care and social service professionals: psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers and instructors from the specialised education centre of Escola Especialitzada Nostra Senyora de Meritxell (http://eensm.org/). The workshop also saw the participation of organisations in the country that provide services to people with wide range of functions. The aim was to provide these professionals with tools to be able to detect people who have Asperger's Syndrome and Autistic Spectrum Disorders.

The task performed by professionals and organisations must allow them to identify possible candidates for the Specialterne training programme (http://specialisterne.com/). This Danish company trains people with autism and aids their incorporation to the job market, using their characteristics as a competitive advantage: highly developed logical and analytical skills, the capacity to concentrate for long periods of time, zero tolerance of errors or attention to detail.

The workshop, held at Andorra Telecom facilities, was led by the Training Director of Specialsterne, José Segundo, and attended by 60 sector professionals.
