This Thursday, Carles Casadevall, acting as spokesman for Andorra Telecom, presented the news regarding the TV offer for the next few months. The viewer will be able to see the changes as early as the start of September. So, the television package will include two extremely popular new channels, Movistar Series Xtra (channel 21) and Gol (channel 203).

Movistar Series Xtra was previously part of the SERIES package and from 1 September it will be included free of charge in the Familiar package. Movistar will broadcast some of the most anticipated releases of the year, such as season 7 of Game of Thrones, Twin Peaks: The Return, season 2 of Lethal Weapon, Ray Donovan and Tin Star.

Gol is a specialised sports channel that offers one match from the Spanish league, La Liga, and one Copa del Rey match per day, as well as two matches from LaLiga1/2/3, thereby completing the range of football already offered on the Andorra Telecom TV platform.

The passing of the Movistar Series Xtra to the Movistar + Familiar package has involved a restructuring of the SERIES package, which is now composed of just the Movistar Series channel. The price has been reduced from €4 to €3.50 per month and is still attractive, with new series being shown such as Young Sheldon, season 3 of Outlander, 1993, Smilf and White Famous.

The restructuring of the TV offer will also include the CINE package being sold separately from 1 January, which until now was included as a promotional offer in the Movistar+ Familiar package. The new package, which includes the channels Estrenos (new releases), Xtra, Action, Comedy, DCine and Cine will cost €10 per month and can be contracted from 1 October onwards, through the Client Area on the andorratelecom.ad website, by phoning customer services on 115 and through the sales agency, as well as at the Andorra Telecom stand at the Andorra Fair.

Carles Casadevall explained that the changes respond to the need to align the TV offer with Movistar, whose contents are distributed exclusively by Andorra Telecom in Andorra.

The Andorra Telecom TV platform will also include important technical innovations in the coming months. It is foreseen that during the first quarter of 2018 viewers will be able to watch content from the previous seven days or start watching a programme already in progress from the beginning. Likewise, over the next year, sports channels and films will be offered in 4K Ultra HD format.

Moreover, from next month onwards, the Andorra Telecom app will incorporate functions enabling channels to be changed and sound control.
