Spanish education takes part in the bullying report app
We are promoting the B-Resol app which allows cases of bullying to be reported anonymously
Schools from the Spanish educational system (Maria Moliner, San Ermengol, Sagrada Família and Mare Janer) have joined the B-Resol app aimed at reporting possible cases of bullying, set up by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in partnership with Andorra Telecom.
B-Resol was launched at the end of the 2016-2017 school year at Escola Andorrana de segona ensenyança d'Encamp (Secondary School in the Andorran system), as a pilot scheme. This app has already been operational at Sant Ermengol since last September, and will be operational at Maria Moliner next week, whilst it is currently being tested in the other schools in the Spanish education system.
This app is part of the Plan for the Prevention of Bullying launched by the Ministry, and contributes to the implementation of measures which aim to raise awareness, prevent and reduce bullying and at the same time promote mediation processes. The system guarantees the full anonymity of the user and has already been downloaded thousands of times since its launch.
The app allows students who are suffering harassment to alert three people named by the school and to activate an intervention protocol.
Furthermore, the app encourages the resolution of all types of conflicts through dialogue, with supervision and monitoring by a teacher, or using peer mediation.
The partnership of Andorra Telecom with the Ministry forms part of the framework of the telecommunications operator’s policy of raising awareness among young people about the opportunities presented by new technologies and of disseminating best practices and responsible use of the Internet.
